RAMS

How the

got to the Super Bowl

The Rams were aggressive in the offseason in acquiring Matthew Stafford through a trade  with the Lions.

They started the regular season with a run of three wins, capped off with a 34-24 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3.

The Cardinals handed them their first loss of the season in Week 4 when they couldn’t contain Arizona’s running attack.

Los Angeles went 4-1 through October, beating the Seahawks, Giants, Lions and Texans, taking them to 7-1 on the season.

In November, they brought in reinforcements in Von Miller and OBJ, but a Covid outbreak saw them lose all three games that month.

After losses to the Titans, 49ers, and Packers, the Rams destroyed the Jaguars in Week 13 with 3  TDs from Stafford.

December 13 saw them beat the Cards 30-23 to split the season and go one game ahead in the NFC West.

The Rams bought their ticket to the playoffs with their win over  the Vikings in Week 16.

Week 17 saw Aaron Donald cause a fumble on the last play of the game, narrowly avoiding a loss  to the Ravens.

The last game of the regular season was fateful for the Rams, losing 27-24 in overtime to the 49ers.

At the end of the regular season, Aaron Donald, Cooper Kupp, and Jalen Ramsey were named to  the NFL All-Pro Team.

In the Wild Card Round, they faced the Arizona Cardinals for the third time and destroyed them 34-11 thanks to their defense.

They travelled to Tampa Bay in the Divisional Round and survived a “4th Quarter comeback” by Tom Brady in his last professional game.

The Rams won the NFC Championship Game against the 49ers 20-17, thanks in large part to Aaron Donald putting pressure  on Garoppolo.

Now the Rams are looking to win the second Vince Lombardi Trophy in franchise history when they face the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI.
