THE BAD BOYS
ARE BACK
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, the comic duo that never disappoints
Actors Will Smith and Martin Lawrence came together to form an iconic duo in 1995’s 'Bad Boys', a film directed by Michael Bay.
In 2003, with Bay again at the helm, they retuned for 'Bad Boys II'. In 2020, this was followed by 'Bad Boys for Life', by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.
Now, 'Bad Boys: Ride or Die', the fourth movie in the cop action comedy franchise, is out. It was released in US cinemas today, Friday 7 June.
In a film that combines action and humour with a sure touch, Lowrey (Smith) and Burnett (Lawrence) become the subject of a manhunt.
Well thought-out character arcs are on show in 'Bad Boys: Ride or Die', which offers up timeless comedy and plays with the subject of racism.
Lowrey and Burnett aren't in good shape: notably, the latter has a heart attack early in the movie. But when the pair are framed for murder, they must fight to prove their innocence.
As with every chase film, it's high-octane stuff. The plot is pretty predictable, but fans of the franchise will get what they're looking for.
A film with action sequences where there is practically no violence to speak of, it’s a picture the family can enjoy together.
