Jude Bellingham has made a stunning start to his Real Madrid career

Jude Bellingham has made a blistering start to his Real Madrid career. Indeed, his early figures for the LaLiga club are better even than Cristiano Ronaldo’s.

In his first 10 games for Los Blancos, Bellingham has scored 10 goals and supplied three assists - just ahead of Ronaldo’s 10 goals and one assist.

And the England midfielder has become the first player in the 21st century to score eight goals in his  first eight league games for Madrid.

Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has heaped praise on him: “It’s been an amazing start in every way. Nobody expected this kind of goal return."

Former team-mate Erling Haaland has also expressed his astonishment at the star's early displays in Spain, branding  his form “unreal” in a social-media post.

Madrid signed Bellingham on a six-year deal, for €103m plus performance-based add-ons. According to Sport Bild, his final fee could reach €133.9m.

Per the German media outlet, some of the add-ons are all but certain to be triggered: for example, Madrid must pay extra if they qualify for the UCL.

The less straightforward add-ons involve Madrid winning LaLiga or  the UCL, or Bellingham being  named in the FIFA FIFPro World XI.

In the wake of his stunning start to  life at Madrid, the 20-year-old’s transfer value has already risen: it’s now estimated at about €120m.

And among Madrid supporters, there is huge excitement about what the 14-time European champions could achieve with Bellingham in their ranks.
