BELLINGHAM TO

Jobe Bellingham has emerged as  a transfer target for BVB - brother Jude's former club

DORTMUND...?

In 2020, Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund paid €30m ($32m) for an exciting young English prospect by  the name of Jude Bellingham.

Now, Dortmund are eyeing another Bellingham: the Germans are interested in signing Jude’s little brother, Jobe, from Sunderland.

Dortmund are ready to pay around £20m ($25m) for the 19-year-old, and reports in the UK say he would be open to following in his brother’s footsteps.

At Dortmund, Jude demonstrated his technical gifts as he emerged as  an all-action midfielder capable of covering every blade of grass.

…and Jobe has clearly been taking notes on his brother’s game: he’s  set about emulating the Real Madrid star with a very similar playing style.

Like Jude, Jobe also plays as a midfielder; indeed, the heat maps above illustrate how similar their movements are during a game.

Jobe uses his quick, long stride to  burst away from opponents, and  boasts top technical ability, offering shows of his skill in every game.

And he isn’t shy to let fly on goal. Harnessing his excellent shooting ability, he has picked up nine goals  in 60 games for Sunderland.

Jude and Jobe have a great relationship. They regularly exchange messages of support on social media, and go to watch each other play when they can.

And as talk of a second Bellingham-to-Dortmund move grows, both are now in the England set-up: Jude with the senior side, Jobe with the under-21s.
