Thibaut Courtois has officially acquired a Formula 4 Spain racing team, naming it TC Racing using its initials.

The Real Madrid goalkeeper has already obtained the FIA license and is currently in the process of searching for drivers, mechanics, and engineers.

Just like in the 'Grand Circus' of F1, the Formula 4 championship is in its summer break until the Jerez GP on September 24th.

Until then, Courtois will need to organize his racing team to try to compete in the final races, or alternatively, wait for the 2024 season.

In his new adventure in the world of motorsport, the Belgian goalkeeper will have the guidance of Spanish driver Roberto Merhi.

At 32 years old, the Castellón native has competed in F2, Le Mans, the FIA Endurance Championship, Super GT, and in F1 with Marussia.

In this form of motorsport, a total of 9 or 10 teams compete in 7 races between May and November. Two of them are held abroad.

The GP consists of two practice sessions, two qualifying sessions, and three races: two of 30 mins plus one lap, one of 25 mins plus one lap.

Courtois got interested in motorsport during the pandemic. In lockdown, he played a lot of esports and became a shareholder of Dux Gaming.

Because of this, he played a lot of the Formula 1 video game alongside real drivers like Norris, Gasly, Latifi, Leclerc, Stroll, Russell, and Giovinazzi.

Thibaut is a friend of Carlos Sainz and supports Fernando Alonso. He is also a regular attendee at the GP events in Spa, Montmeló, and Monte Carlo.

The Belgian has joined other sports celebrities who have been involved with motorsport, such as Michael Jordan and Joe Montana.
