When players put their junk in jeopardy to score
GOALS
Throughout footballing history, players have netted with every conceivable part of their body - and that includes scoring goals with their privates....
Rubén Sobrino did just that in October, when he grabbed a last-minute winner for Cádiz in a LaLiga clash against Atlético Madrid.
Back in 2008, Cristiano Ronaldo scored a similar goal for Manchester United, in a 4-1 Premier League victory over West Ham United.
And there have been other examples in Spain. In 2019, Real Valladolid’s Sergi Guardiola turned home with his cojones against former club Getafe.
Getafe were also on the receiving end when Villarreal’s Cédric Bakambu produced a ball-to-ball finish in 2016.
A few years ago, Vitolo enjoyed a goal glut that led to a Spain debut. He scored all types of strikes, including one with his crown jewels at Granada.
In 2021, Ajax's Dusan Tadic brought a whole new meaning to 'hitting the woodwork' when he jammed his junk against the post as he stretched to score.
The painful incident in a UCL win over Dortmund gave rise to an amusing image the next day, when Tadic was seen sporting a joke ‘penis plaster cast’.
Every player wants to score a cracker, but sometimes it's a nutcracker. You don’t see goals like that every day, and they’re not forgotten in a hurry.
