SIGN DAVIES
Real Madrid have made Alphonso Davies a priority target for 2024
REAL OUT TO
Real Madrid are bringing youngsters in each year in a bid to inject fresh blood into the team. In defence, their current full-backs are getting on.
At left-back, Madrid have identified Bayern's Alphonso Davies as a priority target for summer 2024. Though only 22, he has quite a bit of experience.
Davies has already played 234 games in his professional career - a lot for someone his age. He has scored 20 goals and supplied 37 assists.
The Canadian international boasts exceptional power and pace. Once he sets off on a run, stopping him is a tall order.
Davies registered the second-highest top speed at the World Cup: 35.6km/h, behind only Ghana’s Kamaldeen Sulemana, who clocked 35.7km/h.
A complete player, he’s excellent both at the back and going forward. Indeed, he operates in midfield and on the wing for Canada.
Davies currently has a market worth of €70 million, per Transfermarkt, making him the most valuable left-back on the planet.
But he's out of contract in 2025, so Madrid's plan is to get a good deal for him when he only has a year left on his Bayern agreement.
Davies is a leader on the pitch - a trait the European champions are impressed by. He shows the competitive ambition of a top player.
Jude Bellingham, 19, is Madrid’s chief target in 2023. In 2024, 16-year-old Endrick is due to join. And Los Blancos already boast youngsters such as Vinícius, Rodrygo, Camavinga…
Davies has won 12 trophies, including the UCL. If he keeps up his current rate of progress, he'd be one of Madrid's most exciting signings in recent times.
