TO's
endless pursuit to stay relevant continues in FCF
Who could forget a legend like TO?
But is he remembered for his incredible athletic ability or for his incessant whining, bad attitude, and drama?
For an NFL player whose statistics were as impressive as TO’s were, it’s strange that no teams wanted to draft him in 2011…or is it?
During his time in the NFL, TO managed to burn bridges with every team he played for (there were several).
From getting angry at the media for not praising him enough after losing Super Bowl XXXIX and implying QB McNabb gave up…
to yelling at referees and coaches and accusing teammates Tony Romo and Jason Witten of conspiring against him so he wouldn’t get the ball…
TO has always had an insatiable desire to be praised and relevant, so much so that he has always dug his own grave.
2010 was his last year in the NFL, and not by his own choice. In his own words - “I never retired”.
"I wasn't given the opportunity to play. That doesn't mean I retired. Has Colin Kaepernick retired? [He's not in the NFL] because he hasn't been given an opportunity.”
In TO’s ever persistent quest to prove he's still worthy of attention, he’s now joining the Fan Controlled Football league, over a decade after playing in the NFL.
The 48-year old will join the FCF with QB Johnny Manziel, another example of a talented player who sabotaged himself into non consensual retirement.
Will TO impress any of the NFL teams enough during his time in the FCF to give him another shot in the league?
