Real Madrid have confirmed the departure of several players, as Los Blancos prepare to revamp their  squad in the transfer window.

Striker Karim Benzema is the  highest-profile player to bid the club farewell. The Frenchman is leaving after 14 seasons at the Bernabéu.

Benzema is set to sign for Saudi Pro League club Al Ittihad, having  accepted an offer reportedly worth around €200m over two seasons.

Marco Asensio is also leaving Madrid. The forward hasn’t renewed his contract in the Spanish capital and is expected to join Paris Saint-Germain.

Mariano Díaz and Eden Hazard are also to depart the Bernabéu. Díaz is out of contract, while Hazard has agreed to terminate his deal a year early.

Nacho Fernández could be on his way out, too. The club youth product’s contract expires at the end of June, and he is considering moving on.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Nacho has an offer from Serie A club Inter Milan, who would give the defender a regular starting role.

Dani Ceballos is also thought to be having doubts about staying. He wants more game time and has appetising offers from Champions League clubs.

Real Madrid’s priority is to sort out  all their summer departures as  quickly as possible - and launch a  move for a new centre-forward.

Madrid’s new striker will be joined by reinforcements throughout the team. “Next year’s squad will be very competitive,” Carlo Ancelotti says.
