BAYERN IN HUNT

FOR HARRY

The Germans are keen to sign Kane,  but PSG are also eyeing the Spurs ace

Harry Kane’s future remains uncertain. The England captain is yet to renew  his contract at Tottenham Hotspur,  and reportedly has no intention to.

Bayern Munich are after a striker  who guarantees goals, and Kane looks to be the choice. They’ve tabled several bids, but Spurs want at least €100m.

The German champions are willing  to up their previous offer of €80m,  and the clubs are expected to sit  down on Friday for negotiations.

Per Bild, Bayern are ready to hand  Kane a four or five-year contract worth €20m a season. Over-30s tend to only get 12-month deals at the club.

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou wants the situation to be sorted ASAP: “You’ve got to deal with it, and […] we don’t want to be doing it for too long.”

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain are also eyeing Kane’s signing. A month ago, chairman Nasser Al-Khelaïfi met the star’s camp to sell the club to him.

PSG’s financial muscle works in  their favour. Tottenham know the Parisians can meet their asking price more easily than Bayern can.

Kane began his career at Spurs’  North London rivals Arsenal. He was  a fan of the Gunners, and joined  their youth set-up at the age of eight.

However, Arsenal decided he  wasn't good enough, and let him go. Spurs snapped him up as an 11-year-old, and the rest is history.

Kane was eligible to play for Ireland through his father, but decided to  wait for his chance with England…  and it turned out to be the right call.
