REINVENTS HIMSELF AS A

The mythical 'Slater' from 'Saved by the Bell' shows off muscle

Mario Lopez was one of the most popular actors on television in the '90s thanks to his role as A.C. Slater in the series 'Saved by the Bell'.

Since then he hasn't stopped. For example, he demonstrated his dancing skills in three editions of ABC's 'Dancing with the Stars'.

He has triumphed as a TV presenter with programs such as “The X Factor” and “Extra”. People magazine even voted him the sexiest man alive.

But the incredible thing about Mario is a facet that has left the world of show business speechless: his physical shape at the age of 50.

He was known for his love of boxing since he was a child. He has been an analyst for HBO and is a personal friend of stars such as Julio César Chávez.

That love for boxing has led him to go further. He participates in sparring sessions and 'Old Dogs' bouts with opponents his own age.

To be competitive he spends many hours at Freddie Roach's famous 'Wild Card' gym. And he is fitter than when he was 'Slater' and 20 years old.

Lopez has suffered some injuries, such as broken ribs and rotator cuff tears, but that hasn't dampened his enthusiasm.

This video, wringing liters of sweat from his shirt after finishing a workout, immediately went viral on his Instagram.

Mario uses his account to inspire and encourage his followers to discover the world of boxing, something that is part of his life and his identity.
